The Guild of Oriental Dance is looking for performers (and audience members!) for the September Fundraiser Festival on Saturday, September 5, at the Jawaahir Dance Center (JDC) in Minneapolis. This festival is a fundraiser to support Women's Advocate, so we want a great turnout and raise lots of money and supplies for this great organization! Please check the Guild calendar for more information about what supplies Women's Advocate needs the most (they need things for the women and children staying at the shelter, and also for "care packages" to send with the women (and children) as they leave the shelter. They have asked for very specific needs, although money is always welcome.

This festival is slightly more formal than the "regular" monthly festivals. We will be putting together a program, so we need to set the line-up in advance. I will update this message when I know the deadline for signing up to perform. However, feel free to let me know as soon as possible if you know you are performing (you don't need to let me know what you are doing at this point- I am simply taking a head-count right now. I will contact the performers directly when I need program information.) Time limits are 8 minutes for solos and 10 minutes for groups. If you want to perform in a group piece and also perform a solo, that's fine- just let me know so that I can make to make the line-up work for you.
